Holbein Permanent White Gouache is for the same application but with a slightly different body that some illustrators prefer for detailed highlight work. Dr Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White is the professional standard for opaque pen and brush white — denser than most, beloved by editorial illustrators. We've tested all four on Fabriano Black Black. The Posca gives the broadest, most opaque coverage. The Gelly Roll gives a softer, more luminous line. The Signo is the one most illustrators reach for when they want a wide, decisive highlight.
