A real brush in a pen body
Felt-tip brush pens give you control; bristle brush pens give you character. The Mannen Mouhitsu is the second kind: its polyester bristles split, gather and release like a traditional calligraphy brush, so a stroke can start with a sharp press, swell, and finish in a flicked tail. It takes more practice than a felt tip — and rewards it.
Built to be kept
Mannen means ten thousand years. The name is a promise: when the ink runs out, you change the cartridge; when the bristles eventually wear, you replace the tip unit. The pen body stays.

Who is it For?
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUSTIONS (FAQ)
How is this different from the Kuretake No. 13?
Both are refillable bristle brush pens. The Mannen Mouhitsu DT120 is the redesigned model with a metallic barrel and clear cap; it uses its own replacement tip (DAM14-999) and Kuretake pigment cartridges.
What refills does it take?
Kuretake specifies its black pigment cartridge (DAN106-99H). The replacement brush tip is DAM14-999.
Is it good for beginners?
It is manageable, but a felt-tip brush pen such as the Kuretake Fudegokochi is easier to control while you learn pressure.
