Okayama Denim (100)
Why Luddite
Luddite takes its name from the 19th-century weavers who resisted machines — a statement of intent from a Japanese maker that builds everyday goods from traditional materials. Its denim comes from Okayama, the birthplace of Japanese jeans.
The Bendy, grown up
The original Bendy folds in two. The Essential folds in three, which makes room for a flap over the pens and dedicated pockets for a ruler and a lead case — the things that usually rattle around loose. In denim, with metal hardware and a jeans-pocket lining, it looks like it came from a workwear shop.
