Platinum since 1919
Platinum was founded in 1919 by Shunichi Nakata and is one of Japan’s three great fountain pen makers. It is best known for two inventions working pen users rely on: Slip & Seal, a cap that stops pens drying out, and Carbon Black, a pigment ink safe for fountain pens.
Carbon Black without the bottle
Filling from the bottle gives you the most ink for your money; cartridges give you a sealed, clean refill you can carry. Ideal for sketching kits and travel.
