Introducing Colorverse — Four-Ink Sampler

Our introduction to Colorverse, the Korean ink maker that names every colour after something in space. Four 5ml bottles chosen to show what its inks do best — a warm everyday brown, a blue with red sheen, a fuchsia with even more sheen, and a dark teal full of silver shimmer — with swatch cards to record each one. Try them all, then buy the full bottle of the one you fall for.

The Nib Safety Net

"Gravity Happens. We’ve Got You Covered."

We know the heartbreak of a fountain pen hitting the floor. As a member of our Creative Rewards, you don't have to worry about the 'tines.' If the worst happens, just send us a photo and we'll send you a 50% discount for a fresh start.

"The Nib Safety Net" – Terms & Conditions

  • Eligibility: This benefit is exclusive to active members of the Creative Rewards program at the time of the accident.
  • Coverage: The 50% discount applies strictly to accidental damage (e.g., dropping the pen) that renders the nib unusable. It does not cover intentional damage, loss of the pen, theft, or normal wear and tear.
  • The Claim: To activate your discount, you must provide a clear photo of the damaged nib and your original order number to oops@yourstore.com.
  • Limitations: This discount is valid for a one-time replacement per pen purchased and applies only to the cost of the replacement nib unit. It cannot be combined with other promotional codes or used for full pen replacements.
  • Availability: We will provide the discount for the exact nib model where stock is available. If the model is discontinued, we will offer a 50% discount on a comparable alternative nib unit.

Colour, with a universe attached

Colorverse is an ink maker from Seoul whose colours come in numbered “seasons”, each telling a story about space. Space Laika is named for the Soviet dog who became the first animal to orbit the Earth; Supernova and Andromeda come from the Astrophysics season, the forces and galaxies that shape the universe; NGC 1850 is a star cluster photographed by the Hubble telescope, from the Eye on the Universe season. Three of the four are among Colorverse’s best sellers.

Why these four

Each ink shows a different thing ink can do. Space Laika is a well-behaved everyday colour. Supernova and Andromeda sheen — where the ink pools, a second colour glints on the surface, like the red over Supernova’s blue. NGC 1850 is a Glistening ink, carrying fine shimmer particles that catch the light. Use them in this order: the shimmer ink last, because it needs the most flushing afterwards.

Honest Note:

These are 5ml samples: enough to fill a pen a few times and swatch, not to keep a journal going for months. The bottles are small, so a converter or syringe makes filling easier; a dip or glass pen can go straight in. Sheen shows best with a medium or broader nib and on smooth, coated paper — with a fine nib on everyday paper you will see less of it. NGC 1850 carries shimmer particles: use it in a pen with a medium nib or broader, flush it with water every week or two, and keep it out of vintage or precious pens. All four are dye inks: not waterproof.

Who is it For?

• Fountain pen users curious about Colorverse
• Anyone who wants to see sheen and shimmer before buying a full bottle
• Ink collectors filling a swatch book
• A stocking filler for someone who writes with a fountain pen

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUSTIONS (FAQ)

Can I buy the full bottles?

Yes — Space Laika, Supernova and Andromeda in 40ml, and NGC 1850 Glistening in 30ml.

Will these work in any fountain pen?

Yes. For NGC 1850, choose a pen with a medium nib or broader and flush it regularly, as with any shimmer ink.

Why can’t I see the sheen?

Sheen needs a wet line: try a broader nib, or swatch with a cotton bud or dip pen on the swatch cards or a coated paper such as Yupo.
