Why Luddite
Luddite takes its name from the 19th-century weavers who resisted machines — a statement of intent from a Japanese maker that builds everyday goods from traditional materials. Its canvas comes from Kurashiki in Okayama, where heavy cotton has been woven since the late 1800s: several strands of yarn are twisted together and woven slowly on vintage shuttle looms, which is why it is so dense and hard-wearing.
Slim, with room inside
Flat pen cases are neat but fill up fast; round ones are roomy but bulky. The Gusset sits in between: slim enough for a bag pocket, with a gusset that lets it take more than it looks. It is the simple everyday case in the Luddite range.

Who is it For?
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUSTIONS (FAQ)
Will my fountain pens be safe in it?
They will knock together in one compartment. For pens you care about, the Bendy cases keep each pen in its own slot.
Does the canvas fade?
Gradually, with use — like any good cotton canvas.
