Colour taken from Japanese nature
Iroshizuku joins two Japanese words: iro, colour, and shizuku, a droplet. Since Pilot launched the range in 2007, every colour has been named after something in the Japanese landscape or seasons — moonlit nights, autumn showers, deep sea, a lantern glowing in the dark. They are dye inks with a smooth, well-lubricated flow, and they have become the benchmark many fountain pen users judge other inks by.
Four colours, one hour of the day
Each set reads like a small painting: Midnight moves from Tsuki-yo’s moonlit blue-green through bamboo green and firefly yellow-green to beautyberry purple; Dawn from peacock turquoise and forest green to cosmos pink and deep-sea blue-black. They are chosen to work together — perfect for journalling in a small palette.
