Platinum since 1919
Platinum was founded in 1919 by Shunichi Nakata and is one of Japan’s three great fountain pen makers. It is best known for two inventions working pen users rely on: Slip & Seal, a cap that stops pens drying out, and Carbon Black, a pigment ink safe for fountain pens.
Why a converter
Cartridges are convenient, but they limit you to the colours a pen maker sells. A converter opens up every bottled ink in our range — and is cheaper per millilitre over time.
