3 Oysters Delicious inks are small-batch Korean fountain pen and dip pen inks known for shading depth and sheen behaviour. Made in South Korea, the Delicious series is the illustration-focused range — darker, more saturated, and more visually complex than most European inks.

The Nib Safety Net

"Gravity Happens. We’ve Got You Covered."

We know the heartbreak of a fountain pen hitting the floor. As a member of our Creative Rewards, you don't have to worry about the 'tines.' If the worst happens, just send us a photo and we'll send you a 50% discount for a fresh start.

"The Nib Safety Net" – Terms & Conditions

  • Eligibility: This benefit is exclusive to active members of the Creative Rewards program at the time of the accident.
  • Coverage: The 50% discount applies strictly to accidental damage (e.g., dropping the pen) that renders the nib unusable. It does not cover intentional damage, loss of the pen, theft, or normal wear and tear.
  • The Claim: To activate your discount, you must provide a clear photo of the damaged nib and your original order number to oops@yourstore.com.
  • Limitations: This discount is valid for a one-time replacement per pen purchased and applies only to the cost of the replacement nib unit. It cannot be combined with other promotional codes or used for full pen replacements.
  • Availability: We will provide the discount for the exact nib model where stock is available. If the model is discontinued, we will offer a 50% discount on a comparable alternative nib unit.

The Delicious series and what it does differently

The 3 Oysters Delicious range takes its name from the idea of colour as something to be tasted and experienced rather than simply seen. The inks are formulated for high saturation and strong shading — in broader nibs the ink pools at the entry of each stroke and then lightens as it thins, creating visible tonal variation within a single line. Some colours in the range produce sheen — a secondary colour visible in pooled ink under raking light. The 38ml glass bottle has a distinctive cut-out corner that allows the bottle to tilt when near-empty, making filling easier.

Honest Note:

Dye-based — not waterproof. Shading and sheen are most visible on slow-absorbing papers (Tomoe River, Midori MD) and with medium or broader nibs. Fine nibs on fast paper will show less character. Ink colours may appear different on screen versus on paper — the on-paper colour is the accurate reference. The tilted bottle corner is a design feature — it allows the bottle to stand at an angle for easier filling when the ink level is low.

Who is it For?

  • Illustrators who want inks with tonal depth and visual complexity
  • Fountain pen enthusiasts looking for Korean alternatives to Japanese inks
  • Anyone building a colour palette that goes beyond standard European fountain pen inks
  • Journallers who want their writing to have visual character on the page

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUSTIONS (FAQ)

How do the Delicious inks differ from standard fountain pen inks?

Most fountain pen inks dry to a consistent flat colour. Delicious inks shade — the colour varies from darker at the entry of each stroke to lighter at the edges, depending on nib size and paper. On slow-absorbing papers with broader nibs this effect is most pronounced.

Which Delicious colours have standalone product pages?

Black Moss and Cool Gray have standalone pages with additional content for the illustration and manga communities. All colours are available as variants on this parent page.

What paper shows the Delicious inks best?

Tomoe River 52gsm shows shading and sheen most clearly — the slow absorption gives the ink time to develop on the surface. Midori MD and Rhodia are the next best options. On fast-absorbing papers the shading is reduced.
