The Finest Line in the Range
The Maru nib fills a genuine gap that a G-nib or School nib cannot: very small, very consistent fine lines. It is the smallest nib in the Tachikawa range and produces a tubular, crowquill-style line ideal for fine detail — eyes, individual hair strands, and texture work where a G-nib's flex would be unwanted. It has a learning curve: the line is consistent but the nib is more delicate and less forgiving of heavy pressure than a G-nib.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUSTIONS (FAQ)
Will this fit my existing G-nib holder?
Not necessarily. Maru nibs are a different shape from G-nibs and School nibs and typically need a dedicated holder. Check compatibility before ordering — if in doubt, a universal holder rated for Maru nibs specifically is the safe choice.
Is this harder to use than a G-nib?
Yes, slightly. It rewards a lighter, more consistent touch and is less forgiving of heavy pressure than a G-nib. Best added once you're comfortable with basic dip pen control.
